· Please remove all jewelry before entering class.

· Respect the class that is in session:  Lower the volume of your conversation.

· Remain off the teaching area until your class and quietly prepare for your class.

· Always have your attendance card before entering class.

· Always bow when entering and leaving the dojo floor.

When entering, the student should bow to the flags first, then if one is present on the dojo floor, should bow to the highest ranking Black Belt. When leaving the student should bow to the highest ranking Black Belt, if one is present on the dojo floor. Then bow to the flag.

· All Black Belts should be addressed with "Mr." and "Mrs." then their last name.  When responding to a Black Belts question, students should use "YES SIR", "NO SIR" or "YES MA"AM, "NO MA"AM".

· Always be well mannered and courteous toward others.

· Introduce your guests or visitors to an instructor and show them guest seating.

· No unattended or unsupervised children are permitted.

· Enter class with energy and demonstrate your enthusiasm for learning.

· During class, students must work with a serious attitude and complete concentration. All students must be quiet, respectful and well behaved before, during, and after class. Therefore, laughing, talking, running around, and horse playing are not permitted on the dojo floor. (These things disrupt others). Silence and seriousness during class are two rules that must be followed to sustain a high level of training through the entire class.

· When the instructor gives a command, the students should move rapidly. Whether the command is lining up or doing techniques up and down the floor. This is a good habit to form. It keeps the class running smoothly and timely.

· Demonstrate proper posture and attitude at all times.

· No vulgarities or obscene language in the school.

· No gum chewing in the classroom.

· Steady and consistent attendance is essential to progress. Please notify your instructor if you will absent.

· Please arrive 10-15 minutes prior to your class.

· Memorize our "Student Creed" and recite it at the end of each class. Learning - Understanding - Applying its meaning will enhance your progress.

· Learn to tie your uniform and belt properly.

· Always remove your belt before leaving the school.

· Sparring is not permitted between students unless an instructor is present and all students are wearing all of the required safety equipment (hands, feet, shin guards, helmet, mouth guard and rib guard).

· Only light touch contact is allowed in sparring.
